Spring into Action!

A few great ideas to better your health this spring!

1. Add a Lemon Wedge to your water: It helps balance the acidity in your body. Foods that are processed such as fast food and chips, candy, soda, coffee, alcohol, all make the body more acidic. Lemons are one of the most alkaline foods in the market which helps balance your body’s PH. Plus, it makes you feel like spring!

2. Get into the water! Go to your local pool and go for a swim! Swimming is a great way to cross train the body and it’s a wonderful way to get cardiovascular exercise without putting impact on the knees and back. It’s good to mix it up at least once a week, especially if you’re feeling stale with your workouts. Try swimming one time a week for 30 minutes and get ready for the lake this summer!

3. Add a healthy new food item to your weekly grocery list! Sweet potatoes are my favorite new food item since most people usually stick to regular yellow or red potatoes. Sweet potatoes are delicious, healthy and will add a great flavor and energy to your life!
